The farm was established by
Attillio and Mary Bisognin in 1966.
Son Glen now looks after the family dairy farm with
partner Kaye Courtney, and grandson Luke milking
a herd of 180 Holstein Cows.
The Cheese making began as a hobby for Kaye and has now flourished into a thriving business.
Bassine Specialty Cheeses is a small cheese making factory built to exacting specifications on our 235ac farm.
The milk is sourced directly from our own cows.
Our HTST pasteuriser has also enabled us to bottle our own milk under the brand name of 'Bass River Dairies'. The inline separator allows us to produce Low Fat milk as well as Whole milk and pure Cream.
