The dairy farm was established by

Attillio and Mary Bisognin in 1966.

Son Glen now looks after the family farm with

partner Kaye Courtney.  

The Cheese making began as a hobby for Kaye and has now flourished into a thriving business with Tone Petersen as head cheesemaker, Gold Medals and all.

Bassine Specialty Cheeses is a small cheese making factory built to exacting specifications on our 235ac farm.

The milk is sourced from local, like-minded family farms.  

The Eldridge farm on Phillip Island and Westbourne farm at West Creek.

Our second HTST pasteuriser has enabled us to bottle our own milk under the brand name of 'Bass River Dairies'.  The inline separator produces Low Fat milk and pure Cream.

Our Whole milk was awarded a Gold medal at the Dairy Industry Australia competition 2022.

   All our products are Non-Homogenised.
